Raising the bar

Updated: May 13, 2022

Miss Amelie (Wodonga): Fine dining and just as fine drinks menu. Head to Little Miss bar first and enjoy the view from the platform of the once historic railway station.

Nomad Events (Albury-Wodonga): Nick and Connie saved my sanity during the first brutal lockdown of April 2020 with their door to door deliveries! Premixed drinks plus garnishes, what’s not to love! The menu caters for everyone but my fave is the Full Dozen: 2 each of cosMADpolitain, gin blossom, Pearfection, Pineapple Express, Guava Drangonfruit Margarita and pinecello. Caring is sharing, right?! https://www.nomadevents.com.au/shop

Temperance and General (Albury): Our new date-night go-to bar for lane-way ambience plus the best tapas on the Border.

Public House (Albury): Big on functions, menu and cocktail list. New Year's Eve visit did not disappoint! But just as good for that post-movie fries and beer.

Elk resort (Falls Creek): There's snow business like bar business at Elk, the boutique is the lastest addition to the snowfields. Apartment 3 is seductive, hidden behind a luxe behind a luxe emerald curtain, opening on to a an apres and late-night New York-style lounge.

Church St Hotel (Wodonga): The latest and greatest addition to the Wodonga food scene is this white-wash reno of the original Carrier's Arm Hotel pub. The multi-faceted venue boasts a sportbar, outdoor music scene with a cool, Palm Springs vibe. Cheers to this welcome addition!

2640 Restaurant (Albury): "Pornstar" for a night lol. A regular and favourite haunt for end of term staff drinks with a comprehensive tapas menu.

Burger Urge (Wodonga): What's better than a burger with a Spritz? A spritz with your burger! Great range of burgers, fast service and small but quality cocktail menu. And jit’s down the road, what's not to like.
